You have a choice...

After reading through what my co-author had written, it reminded me of something that my little brother asked me about some time ago..

What does women look for in their men? Intelligent enough to hold clever conversations, humourous, hv promising careers, sensitive new age guy, etc...it felt like a tall order. What does the women has to give in return then for such a man? 燞ow many men out there are of such a calibre?

I am very surprised to hear tis from my little brother, it seemed to be that the guys nowadays are under tremendous pressure from the opposite sex to really perform up to the expectations.

To me, you can list all u want for a partner, however you may or may not be able to meet such a guy even if you waited for the whole lifetime. 營 feel that ideals and reality are separate and usually they are not met 100%.

For a woman or even a man to have such kind of ideas while searching for a partner, I will safely say that he/she is out to be disappointed, unless it's really the lucky day or wat.

After being in a relationship for more than 10 years and ?

After being in a relationship for more than 10 years and seeing the experience of my friends, I can only say it takes 2 hands to clap, some may have it easier some may not. I once had an advice from a friend, "90% of the time, it's boring and mundane only 10% of the relationship that you will get the perks like surprises, treats or appreciation, etc. However, we need to thrive on this 10% to keep us going strong, keep reminding ourselves of all the good things possible in a relationship.

The "Happily Ever After" kinda ending that happen in fairy tales are just bedtime stories that we tell to the kids, it never happens in reality. Usually the ugly and frustrating behaviors start creeping out after the honeymoon period is over. hahaha, sad but true. It all depends on the couple how they iron out the differences.

Having said that, we can go on to argue about how tough it is to be Singaporean man or woman, ultimately we got to tell ourselves how we want to live it out

There is Always a Choice for Everything

There is no such things as "No choice..." You can choose to not work a company or you can choose to rough it out. You can choose to walk away from a troubled relationship or you can stay to resolve the problems. It's all up to ourselves...
