The Banquet

Today i attended a cocktail reception and movie premiere of (The Banquet) event organised by UOB with Aten. The whole event was very well organised and impressed me. There were light refreshments of tarts, pies and cakes and tea, coffee and wine. They had booked an entire hall at GV Grand for the event. When it was time to be seated, we entered and found that the hall they booked was one of the bigger ones with good size screen. When we were seated, servers came around with trays of free cokes, popcorns and nuts for the viewers to select and enjoy.

The critics had reviewed tat the movie plot is average and the movie is abit slow but otherwise everything else was good. My opinion: The movie is great! From storyline to pace to technical details. (The Banquet) is actually the chinese adaptation of Shakesphere's story of (Hamlet). This beautiful tragedic story was coupled with elaborate costumes, superb actings and photography and beautiful landscapes with vivid colors. And good stunts and effects. The music is hauntingly nice in a chinese way. It is truly a masterpiece of a movie to combine all the elements so flawlessly.

I would recommend the movie to everyone, esp if u enjoy (Hamlet).

All in all, i enjoyed the event and the movie tremendously. :)
