fated or coincidence?

It was holiday's eve yesterday, finally met up with a net fren, Brandon, at BakerzInn for coffee. We had a pleasant time chatting close to 3 hours! Din noe how we managed that : )

We chat about almost anything under the sun, from hobbies to travelling to work and even abt politics to society that we are living in now. We felt that from the way the society is progressing, it seemed that the current generation is a "lost" generation", the fact that they are being brought up by the maids and the parents were only the provider. The lack of family warmth and comunication within the families (not trying to stereotype the cases tho) seemed to render the youngsters nowadays to lose the basic ideas of family values. He mentioned that some or not most of the youngsters argued for the sake of arguing and winning, it was really not through analytical thinking and some of them cldn't even expressed themselves properly, arguement without depth...sigh...rather depressing but quite true

Brandon is pretty gentlemanly, it's rare nowadays that a guy actually makes the effort to make his date feel comfortable. He make sure my food arrives before he started eating and waited for me to board the train before going off. It was nice to know that we share the interest in reading as well, he even recommended me a book of fairytales, gonna try to find it when I am free. On the other hand,he's pretty shy as well from the way he talks, only opened up after quite a while.

Something really funny happen! I was going towards Tanjong pagar direction after we bade farewell. I sudddenly realised that I wld have too much time before my fren can meet me thus decided to go to Borders, meaning back to where I left. When the train pulled into City Hall station, I was so surprised to see Brandon standing right in front of me at the station platform, reading his book.

Our eyes met and the next reaction was, we both burst out laughing!! What a coincidence! It was as if I never left with the train...we both agreed that we cld stay at the train station whole night chatting, though it was impossible cos the service does stop after 1am :P We tot New York cld be a great place to try that out haha

We bade farewell again and agreed to meet for a round of Cuban Jazz band music next time...
